The State of California’s historic $3.7 billion climate resilience budget package will provide unprecedented opportunities to scale local and regional efforts to mitigate, adapt, and build resilience to the growing impacts of climate change. State agencies are already mobilizing to develop new grant programs, including OPR’s Regional Climate Resilience Planning and Implementation program ($250 million) and SGC’s Regional Climate Collaboratives program ($20 million).

The Capital Region Climate Readiness Collaborative (CRCRC) is conducting this 16-question survey as a first step to prepare our region for new State climate investments. Our goal is to help our region’s stakeholders coordinate and develop competitive, multibenefit grant programs by forming inclusive partnerships, aligning local priorities, and uplifting the needs of underserved communities. This survey will also deepen our understanding of local needs and priorities to inform additional regional collaboration, capacity building, and technical assistance activities to advance equitable climate resilience efforts.

This survey is intended for agencies and organizations in California’s Capital Region, which includes El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties. Please note that the survey requires respondents to provide contact information to support CRCRC’s next steps for stakeholder engagement and grant coordination; contact information will remain confidential and individual responses will be anonymized in survey summaries.

Questions? Please contact Catherine Foster, CRCRC’s Coordinator, at cfoster@lgc.org.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey! We look forward to learning from you, collaborating with you, and working together to bring much-needed climate investments into our region!
